Short biography

Coaching managers and leaders has always been an integral part of my role in HR/T&D since I entered the profession from teaching and business in 1989 up until leaving it to work full-time as a Coach and Trainer in the end of 2011. In 2008 I started my education as a Coach
while working in HR/T&D at Eli Lilly (pharmaceutical manufacturing) and as part of my qualifications I took on internal clients for coaching. As an internal Coach from 2008 through to end 2011, I coached a variety of people at all levels within the organisation from front-line to
Director, individuals to leaders. The areas were very varied also, from career progression, to developing potential, to learning new skills like influencing to personal effectiveness such as communication, confidence-building and time management. In 2012 I opened my own practice
as a Trainer and Coach in Behavioural Change and since then have built up a portfolio of organisational and private clients from across the spectrum of life and sectors. In the end of 2017 I joined the faculty of the Irish Management Institute (IMI)/University College Cork as a
Coach and Trainer. My work there has built up to include many coaching aspects associated with training programmes such as ‘Women in Leadership’ and the Higher Diplomas in Leadership, Organisational Behaviour and Executive Coaching. I have designed and developed
coaching skills training for management and leaders which I delivered to a variety of public and private sector clients for a consultancy in Dublin called CMG and since then I have developed and delivered modules on coaching for leadership and management courses both for IMI
and my own private clients. My approach is holistic, working with the individual on their whole life (should they wish) in a partnership based on trust, openness and engagement.
